Kourtney Kardashian and new husband Travis Barker were married in Italy last Sunday, May 22, but while the couple have been celebrating, her ex Scott Disick is apparently struggling with "regret".

Kourtney, 43, and Scott, 39, were together for nine years between 2006 and 2015.

Together they share three children; Mason Dash Disick, 12, Reign Aston Disick, seven, and daughter Penelope Scotland Disick, nine.

Their on-off romance ended due to Scott's "substance abuse" – as Kourtney revealed the reason behind their split during the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion episode in June 2021.

"The infidelity, I only knew about it at the end, so I think the substance abuse was the deal-breaker," she told host Andy Cohen at the time.

Now a source has told ET: "Scott has been having a hard time with Kourtney and Travis' marriage, but he is doing as well as he can be.

"He has mixed feelings because he loves Kourtney, but he also knows she is very happy."

The insider added that Scott "has a lot of regrets about how he treated Kourtney during their relationship".

They went onto explain how their children are happy but had hoped their parents would find love again, saying: "Scott and Kourtney's kids are happy, but naturally, always hoped that there was a chance their parents would get back together."

The source continued: "Scott is sad that he isn’t as close with Kourtney or her family as he once was. He misses them all and wants to be included in things.

"Scott still has a good relationship with the family overall, but it's a little different now. Kris is still like a mom to him and he loves her like his mom. He’s also still very close with Khloe."

A source close to Kourtney told ET how she "couldn’t be more in love and happier" with Blink-182 drummer Travis, 46.

"She loves saying and signing her name as Mrs. Barker and everyone is so happy for her. She is so excited to be married to Travis," said the source.

"She knows she went through so much with Scott for years and she’s emotionally done. She spent years crying and worried about him, but she's focused on her next chapter."

Kourtney is apparently determined not to let "Scott's feelings ruin her moment" and believes she is now a "better mum and person" with Travis in her life.

The reality star does acknowledge that Scott "will always be in her life since he is the father of her kids".
