Simu Liu Reacts After Canadian Comedy Series ‘Kim’s Convenience’ Is Cancelled After Five Seasons

It was just revealed that Kim’s Convenience, a comedy series that aired on CBC, will be ending after five seasons.

The series centered on a Korean-Canadian family who, while running a convenience store in Toronto, deal with customers, each other and the evolving world around them.

Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Jean Yoon, Andrea Bang and future Marvel star Simu Liu all starred in the series.

After hearing of the news, Simu reacted to it on social media.

“Disappointing news today,” he started out. “I’m heartbroken. I feel like my journey with Jung was cut short. I feel like you, the fans, deserved better. But I’m proud of all that we accomplished together in 5 seasons.”

Simu added, “Thanks for all your love and support. This isn’t goodbye, only #OKSeeYou.”
