Stacey Solomon, 31, has admitted she has reservations about becoming Mrs Stacey Swash when she ties the knot with her fiancé this summer. The Loose Women panellist revealed that although she is very excited to become the Dancing on Ice winner’s wife, she feels conflicted over whether or not she should take his surname.

The mum-of-three explained her doubts stem from her “heartbreak” over her sister Gemma’s decision to change her surname when she got married.

Opening up about her uncertainty, Stacey spoke out when she quizzed by Zoe Ball about what her plans were following the couple’s nuptials.

She divulged on the presenter’s BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show: “It is a really funny one, obviously Joe would love me to have his second name, nothing wrong with his second name but because of kids I want to have the same surname as the kids.”

Stacey then mused: “Maybe I will double-barrel it.”

The Tap to Tidy author went on to address her sadness over no longer sharing the same surname as her sibling.

She said: “When my sister got married I felt a bit heartbroken.

“Like, ‘You aren’t my full sister anymore’.”

The former X Factor star is mother to older sons Zachary, 12, and eight-year-old Leighton, from previous relationships.

She also shares one-year-old Rex with her other half Joe.

Joe popped the question to Stacey during a festive walk through the woods near their Essex home.

The presenter then took to Instagram to inform her 4.1 million followers that she had said yes to Joe’s Christmas Eve proposal.

Stacey recently branded Joe’s woodland proposal the “best day ever” during an appearance on The One Show.

The television star added: “I think the best part of it was that the boys were there and they cheered at one point, I only notice they cheered when I watched the video back. It was lovely.”

Stacey previously shared an exciting email with her followers, saying it brought her to tears.

The email was addressed to both her and her fiancé and confirmed that they would be getting married in July 2021.
