Stacey Solomon revealed she’s taking time away from her phone after calling out “mean” people.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Thursday evening, Stacey, 31, wrote: “There will always be mean people out there. Some will be obvious some might even be disguised as friends.

“Protect your heart from them all. And no matter how hard they try to bring you down, obviously or indirectly, keep going. Keep believing. Keep being. Don’t get dragged into their unhappiness.”

Stacey, who is mum to sons Zachary, 12, Leighton, eight, and 21 month old Rex, then added that she would be taking some time away from her phone to focus on work and family.

“It’s a loose [Loose Women] day tomorrow and then lots of meetings,” she continued.

“And Saturday there is a big Pokémon tournament according to Zachy so I’m going to put my phone in a drawer for a couple of days.

“I hope you have a lovely weekend. Love you lots. See you on Saturday.”

It comes after Stacey defiantly hit back at a troll who cruelly called her "ugly and irritating”.

Clapping back at the nasty social media user who told her "no one cares" about her uploads, Stacey shared the horrible message with her 4.1 million followers after discovering it while Rex took a nap.

She explained to her fans: "Rex went down for a surprise nap so I took the opportunity to have a shower to myself and then sit on my bed to dry.

"One of my favourite things to do is dry naturally. Then I thought I'd read your messages while I was drying and this one has cracked me up so so much."

The former X Factor finalist then went on to share the message in question, which read: "I LOOOOOOOVE watching you so much EVERYDAY you really do boost my confidence just by looking at your humongous teeth, your ugly faces you make constantly and not forgetting the highly irritating personality you have yourself [sic].

"Imagine being Joe and having to not only see you every day but actually listen to your nonsense everyday.

"I feel bad for the guy although he's not much to write home about himself! Your just 2 very annoying people that need to get a life and stop doing s**t like dancing whilst cleaning and your stupid craft projects!

"No one cares about it or you. It makes me feel like so much more of a beautiful person to know there is someone as ugly as you in the world so thanks so much for being you — the unfortunate ugly person you are."

Stacey then shared a video of herself dancing with her hoover as she lip synced to Gloria Gaynor's I Am What I Am from.

Stacey continued to tell her followers: "Couldn't resist. I know how much that person loves these. And bringing happiness to even the meanest souls is important.

"And this is the best song ever. Lifes not worth a damn til you can say, I am what I am [sic]."

She added: "Happy Thursday everyone. No one can make you feel anything without your permission. Don't give them your permission."
