Craig Revel Horwood, 56, is not happy with the Strictly professionals refusing the coronavirus vaccine. So far, reportedly three dancers have refused the vaccine, leaving the crew furious and stars reluctant to pair with them.

I do know someone that is refusing to have it and that drives me nuts.

In an exclusive interview with The Times, Craig discussed his view on the professionals refusing the vaccine.

He said: “This is no different a vaccine to the flu or anything, and why people are up in arms about it I have no idea.

“I think it’s ridiculous.”

Craig revealed: “I do know someone that is refusing to have it and that drives me nuts.”

Ex-Strictly professional James Jordan has also expressed his view on the unvaccinated dancers.

Talking to Good Morning Britain this week, he said: “I normally would protect the professional dancers until the cows come home, but on this occasion, I can’t, unfortunately.

“So yeah, I definitely believe they don’t deserve their right on the show, and the celebrities have the right to refuse to dance with them.”

Express.co.uk contacted a Strictly representative at the beginning of the week about this issue.

A Strictly spokeswoman told Express.co.uk: “We do not comment on speculation of somebody’s COVID vaccination status.

“Strictly production has, and will continue to, follow strict government guidelines to ensure the safety of all on the show.”

The worry comes after the Strictly coronavirus hysteria on last year’s series.

Strictly Come Dancing 2020 featured the shows first same sex female coupling with Olympic boxer Nicola Adams and Strictly professional Katya Jones.

Their appearance was cut short on the show, leaving after week three due to Katya testing positive for COVID-19.

With the studio audience returning this season, the Strictly crew will have a big job on their hands keeping the show as safe as possible.

Craig is the only judge on the Strictly judging panel to have been there from the start, when the show started in 2004.

He will not be joined by his close friend, Bruno Tonioli on the judging panel.

This is due to COVID restrictions, as he will not be able to travel back and forth to film Strictly and Dancing with the Stars consecutively.

The pair are very good friends, having recently taken part in a series together with ITV.

Craig and Bruno’s Great British Food Trips follows the pair leaving the dance floor to drive around Britain across six road trips.

Strictly Come Dancing live shows return this evening at 7pm
