Strictly Come Dancing's Adam Peaty and Katya Jones were seen smiling at each other as they enjoyed a break from their dance rehearsals.

The dance partners were seen heading out for lunch during their rehearsals for Saturday night's show. The pair dressed casually for the outing with Adam wearing a white tee and grey trousers, while Katya opted for a cosy-looking brown parka jacket.

The duo have caused a stir of romance rumours after their near-kiss on the show sent sparks flying.

Some fans said it looked like the 26 year old Olympic swimmer was about to lean in for a peck with Russian dancer Katya, 32, as they came to a dramatic end of their Argentine Tango on the hugely-popular BBC One competition.

However, Adam who is in a relationship with girlfriend Eirianedd Munro, replied to the rumours on Instagram, saying people could "see what they want" but there was "real life consequences" to their words.

Mum-of-one Eirianedd, who shares a baby son called George with the swimmer, said she has struggled with the "hate" she's received in the aftermath.

"I have been receiving a lot of hate on the internet – people saying really horrible stuff," she told The Mirror.

"I am trying to lay it to rest now as I am tired."

After Strictly Come Dancing had aired, the 23 year old had posted a video of her pretending to cry, captioning it: "Watching your boyfriend almost kiss another woman on live TV – finding out 10 million people also watched it."

It comes as the mum-of-one also posted a new TikTok video, where she told her followers she was appreciative for the support she's received.

"I want to say thank you to everyone. It makes me a bit emotional," she shared. "To everyone that has been really nice to me. Because last week was a lot.

"Even when it’s a thousand nice comments and one mean one, it’s so easy to feel like the world is against you and it did feel like that for a while."

Eiri went on to say she gave herself a "reality check" and reminded herself she's "not that important".

"But you guys made me feel so much better, those that were checking up on me and those that were commenting. Thank you," she said, jokingly adding that her fans had "saved her life".

After the results show, Adam told his followers: "To everyone who wants to see what they want, your comments have real-life consequences. I will not be overcome by your gossip."
