She's one of Strictly Come Dancing's biggest stars and a popular judge on The Greatest Dancer – but Oti Mabuse has said that being offered a job on The Masked Dancer was the best call of her life.
The professional dancer and reigning champion of the Strictly ballroom is about to make her debut as a Masked Dancer judge, joining Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross for their Masked Singer spin-off series.
Oti, 30, couldn't be more excited about starting her new job and told The Mirror about taking the call that told her she would be a part of the ITV show.
She said: "Oh my goodness, I broke out in song and dance, obviously because that is so me, I think something from Wicked.
"I was in my house. I had a scarf, I was flying it around. It was, I think, the best call of my life. I really was so grateful to be here and on the panel."
Oti replaces Rita Ora, who was the fourth panel judge on the singing version of the contest.
The dancer's TV work so far has seen her become a huge star at the BBC, but with an ITV show to her name now and a throwaway comment about whether this would be her last year on Strictly, rumours have been swirling that the BBC are worried about losing Oti.
Earlier this week, The Masked Dancer announced their guest judges for the series – Holly Willoughby, David Walliams and John Bishop.
Holly said: "How the Masked Dancers are able to pull off the moves they're doing in these costumes is mind-blowing.
"I absolutely loved joining the panel as a special guest and getting to play detective. You're all in for a real treat."
The Masked Dancer sees a line-up of mystery celebrities perform dances in stunning costumes as the panel try to guess who's behind the mask.
Costumes for this series include Knickerbocker Glory, Zip, Carwash, Beetroot and Rubber Chicken.
Joss Stone surprised viewers as the winner of The Masked Singer series two earlier this year, where she performed as sausage while heavily pregnant.
Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts won the first UK series of The Masked Singer as Queen Bee.
