System Of A Down Premiere ‘Genocidal Humanoidz’ Video During Charity Livestream

System of a Down premiered their “Genocidal Humanoidz” video during a livestream fundraising event on their official YouTube channel on Saturday (January 30).

The effort was to raise money for non-profit organizations like the Armenia Fund and the Armenia Wounded Heroes Fund that benefit Armenian soldiers wounded during the country’s recent conflict with Azerbaijan over the disputed area known as Nagorno-Karabakh.

Adam Mason and bassist Shavo Odadjian co-directed the video for “Genocidal Humanoidz.” The visual features animated imagery of war-torn townspeople banding together to fight the invaders. It also contains performance footage. Deep Sky created the clip’s animated sequences.

SOAD’s livestream raised nearly $257,000, with proceeds going toward the rehabilitation of Armenian soldiers and volunteers in need of prosthetic limbs as a result of the conflict.

The release of recent singles marks System of a Down’s first new music in fifteen years.
