Vernon Kay has shared a sweet snap of himself and wife Tess Daly on a winter stroll days after Christmas.

The TV presenter posted the photo of the pair as they walked together along the River Thames on Monday 27 December.

They were pictured walking arm in arm and kitted out for the cold weather, with Tess, 52, wearing black tracksuit bottoms, chunky white trainers, a thick padded coat cinched at the waist, and a striped winter hat.

"Festive stroll out on the river!" Vernon captioned the snap.

"Having the best time with the family this Christmas!! Got a feeling the new year resolution will be gym related! [Chicken emoji] for days!!!"

Tess and 47 year old Vernon married in 2003 and share teenage daughters together.

Vernon has been seen back on screens recently, after presenting This Morning with Josie Gibson.

The pair received rave reviews for their presenting style, with fans taking to social media to praise them for being "fun" and "a breath of fresh air".

Vernon’s stint on This Morning came as Tess, whose Strictly wardrobe was revealed to be three times’ as expensive as co-presenter Claudia Winkleman’s, can now enjoy a well-earned break following another series of Strictly Come Dancing.

This year saw Eastenders star Rose Ayling-Ellis lift the Glitterball trophy with her dance partner, Giovanni Pernice.

Claudia recently shared an insight into her friendship with Tess, saying that they only ever talk about "parenting and cheese".

"We’re deep-down friends, joined forever," she told The Observer.

"We have such a laugh and we have each other’s backs. We mainly talk about parenting and cheese, even with five seconds before we go live. I love that woman."

And in an exclusive chat with OK!, Vernon admitted he’d love a go at Strictly himself.

The former I’m a Celebrity contestant said: "If they asked me, I’d seriously consider it."

However, he also admitted it might be "awkward coming off the dance floor and Tess saying ‘Did you turn the iron off and close the dishwasher?’"

He also expressed his admiration for his wife’s presenting skill, and that he’d love to work with her again on TV, after previously presenting BBC reality show Just The Two Of Us back in 2006 and 2007.

"One thing I learned from working with Tess is that you have to be ready for every scenario in live television," he told OK!.

"Until I worked with her, I had ad-libbed my way through it, but when I worked with her, I thought, 'Wow!' She knows her script, Claudia’s script, the camera script, she’s unbelievable."
