The National recently shared a moving new song, “New Order T-Shirt,” the second track to be released from their upcoming album First Two Pages of Frankenstein.
The song’s release was accompanied by the National offering a limited edition T-shirt in partnership with New Order.
“To me the line ‘I keep what I can of you’ means something about everyone I’ve ever known or loved,” said the National’s founding member Aaron Dessner. “There’s a simplicity to ‘New Order T-Shirt’ that reminds me of our earlier records, but with the full maturity and experience we have now. It feels like a really important song for the future of our band.”
First Two Pages of Frankenstein, which marks the ninth studio album by the rock band, is set to release on April 28 via 4AD.
Taylor Swift, Sufjan Stevens, and Phoebe Bridgers are featured on the album.
The National will embark on their world tour on May 18 in Chicago. The band announced additional tour dates in London, Denver, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.
