She told Entertainment Weekly: ‘They scare me. The zombies scare me so much. They’re so real, man.

‘It’s like that scene in American Wolf in London, and he’s sitting in his hospital bed, and his mate comes in, he’s been attacked, and he’s eating his toast, and everything.

‘It’s that same feeling inside. I just can’t even look at them.’

In August Samantha also revealed she was pressured into performing sex scenes when she was just 16.

She admitted she would often try to find ways to avoid stripping off in front of the camera, particularly in the ITV crime drama Band of Gold which focused on a group of sex workers in Bradford.

Speaking to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on Tuesday’s This Morning, the star was asked about her experience of sex scenes in the industry in the 1990s.

Honest: In August Samantha also revealed she was pressured into performing sex scenes when she was just 16

She said: ‘I think for me at 16 in Band Of Gold and how I was treated. Obviously I was lucky to get the role, I didn’t come from drama school. But I was considered quite difficult when I had issues performing sex scenes.

‘The lovely costume girls would say to put corn plasters on your nipples and if the director want to shoot your boobies, because you’re being told to be naked and topless, then they can’t use it when they’re editing.

‘There was never that case of “this girl is 16”.’
