The Weeknd Joins With Postmates To Deliver Meals To Healthcare Workers

The Weeknd recently teamed up with Postmates to deliver 150 meals to healthcare workers in Florida.

In honor of Black History Month, the Weeknd, in collaboration with Postmates, joined with a Tampa-based Black-owned restaurant to deliver meals to the healthcare workers at AdventHealth Carrollwood in Egypt Lake-Leto, Florida.

Additionally, users can now use the code “ABEL” on the app to take advantage of zero delivery charges on orders above $20.

Incidentally, the hospital is a mere 3 miles from Raymond James Stadium, where the Super Bowl is slated to take place on Sunday, February 7, with the Weeknd headlining the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show.

“We’ve been really focusing on dialing in on the fans at home and making performances a cinematic experience, and we want to do that with the Super Bowl,” the Weeknd shared, with his manager Wassim “Sal” Slaiby revealing that the singer dished out $7 million from his own pockets to “make this halftime show be what he envisioned.”
