Josie Gibsonwas full of compliments for Alison Hammond after spending Christmas day at her house in Birmingham.

Josie, 36, and her son Reggie travelled up from Bristol to spend the festive period with her This Morning pal and her teenage son, Aiden, where Josie says she had “the best Christmas dinner ever”.

The mum of one shared a host of Christmas snaps documenting the impressive feast Alison, 46, put on, including a selection of meats and vegetables to choose from, Yorkshire Puddings, pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese and mince pies.

“Never had a Christmas dinner like it. Best Christmas dinner ever,” Josie wrote alongside one of the pictures.

Alison revealed her Christmas plans with Josie earlier this month, where she told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby how excited she was to host.

She said: “This Christmas, Josie Gibson and her son are with me on Christmas Day for dinner and I just can’t wait!”

Discussing some tips she’d picked up from a segment that aired on This Morning, Alison added: “We did an item on the show recently about growing your own festive vegetables.

“So I’m keen to do it – potatoes, carrots, a bit of beetroot and some sprouts.”

Alison and Josie both shot to fame after starring in different seasons of Big Brother, and have sincegone on to become good friends– particularly during lockdown.

Alison told OK! last year after the country’s first lockdown: “Josie and I are really close. We spoke to each other every day during lockdown.”

Josie echoed similar sentiments adding: “Alison actually got me through lockdown. She was there for me on the phone every night, and we decided to get very spiritual together. I love her. Being around Alison is like having a permanent hug.”

Josie has been on This Morning since 2019, but was thrown into the limelight when she had to cover Holly for a few days while she was ill, and hosted the hit ITV show alongside Phillip.

She went down a storm with viewers, and has since been tipped to potentially be given a more permanent“leading role” on the show.

The source exclusively told OK!: "ITV have been investing a lot of time in Josie’s development, they see her as a real star of the future.

"Just like Alison Hammond before her they think she has the personality and talent to take on a more leading role on the show.

"She really impressed when she stepped in for Holly at the last minute recently and the positive audience reaction gave them real food for thought.”
