Fran Parman has revealed she had an eating disorder after being bullied by school friends when she was about 12 years old.

The 30 year old, who recently sizzled in a racy lingerie snap as she showed off her two stone weight loss, spoke exclusively to OK! online about her journey of overcoming her unhealthy relationship with food.

The Only Way Is Essex star explained that during her time in secondary school, people cruelly branded her "fat" and would make fun of her as she walked down a hallway, which lead to her minimising what she consumed.

"I think I did [have an eating disorder] when I was younger," she said. "I got bullied for being overweight."

The brunette beauty continued: "I remember very vividly, I walked in and one of the boys called me 'fat' and I was just so heartbroken by it. I was in secondary school, year eight. I was just like, 'Oh my gosh, I've got to lose weight. People think I'm fat'…"

Offering a second anecdote, Fran said: "Another girl, who was actually a close friend of mine's sister, she was like 'thump, thump, thump,' when I was walking up towards her.

"And I heard them all giggling and one of the girls later on told me she was taking the Mickey out of me. It really really bothered me. So I stopped eating as much, made sure I was walking home, made sure I was walking to school. Had the scales every day.

"I kind of got unhealthy. I started snapping more at people. When you're that young, you don't realise how not eating as much changes who you are, changes your mood. You're not aware, you're just so addicted to looking good."

The reality star, who recently hit back at troll for criticising her figure, explained that eventually she started feeling unwell and "shakey" and realised she would have to start looking after herself.

Her mum was her saving grace as she continued: "At one point my mum said to me, 'Enough now, you're very very tiny. No more'. Luckily I had my mum there to kind of realise. And I don't want to go back to that traumatising state.

"I've become healthy and I never want to go back to that again. It was a very sad time."

Now, having just entered her 30s, the star refuses to own her own set of scales out of fear of falling into old habits.

"December was the last time I weighed myself," she told OK!: "It was before lockdown so I went to my mum's because she's got scales. I won't buy scales because when I was younger I kind of got addicted to scales.
