TRIC Awards winners in full as Danielle Harold is honoured for EastEnders Lola role

The winners of the highly coveted TRIC Awards have been confirmed, after a day of glitz, glamour and good times.

The popular bash was a swanky affair, taking place at London's prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel, with a host of actors, presenters, podcasters, radio hosts, celebrities and more turning out in style.

This year's Television and Radio Industries Club celebration, which OK! is the official media partner for, saw an array of celebrities keen to support their colleagues in the entertainment industry, descending on the splashy pink carpet in their glad rags, while some were keen to get their hands on one of the coveted gongs.

OK! columnist Judi Love co-hosted the event this afternoon (27 June) and was a vision in a black and gold sparkly dress. Others were similarly kitted out, with charity fundraiser Kelsey Parker sporting a pretty-in-pink number, and EastEnders star Danielle Harold opting for classy, timeless black to strut her stuff on the pink carpet.

The 31 year old actress was up for the coveted Soap Actor award at the swanky bash, facing competition from Coronation Street's Charlotte Jordan, Emmerdale's Jeff Hordley, and Corrie's Ryan Prescott, but ultimately Danielle proved victorious.

Her win came hours ahead of the screening of her onscreen character's devastating funeral. Speaking to OK! on the red carpet, Danielle said: "I'm just taking it all in at the moment", after saying a final goodbye to Albert Square.

She went on to add: "Obviously, I've been there for such a long time, 15 years is such a long time. I've not left too long ago, I've gone to award shows and stuff, so it's just been quite nice lately, I'm enjoying it." When asked if it was hard to say goodbye to Lola, the soap star shared: "When you've played a character for so long, watching them die is so difficult because you love that character.

"It sounds silly but you've just played them for so long and every little bit of you, so it was so sad when Lola died." Danielle was involved in the tragic storyline for a number of months but said it was the "best way possible" to leave like that.

It wasn't just actors in the spotlight at the grand ceremony though, with the Good Morning Britain team out in force after a number of nominations, as well as former co-host Piers Morgan, who was nominated in the Interview of the Year category. He beat his former colleague Susanna Reid to take home the trophy.

Other awards up for grabs included TV Personality; with Ant & Dec, Bradley Walsh, Lee Mack, Stacey Solomon and Michael McIntyre all battling it out in a bid to scoop the top prize. Similarly, Radio Personality saw stars of the airwaves like Roman Kemp, Sara Cox, Vanessa Feltz, Kate Garraway and James Whale competing for the award.

News Presenter, Podcast of the Year, Game Show and more were further categories offering recognition for titans of the entertainment industry. This year's 54th TRIC Awards saw nominees in each category as voted for by the general public.
