Nicola Peltz has revealed that her future-in-laws sent her "get well soon" flowers after she was struck down with a mystery illness.

In a post shared to her Instagram Story on Thursday evening, the American actress shared a snap of a sweet handwritten note and white roses from her fiancé Brooklyn Beckham 's parents Victoria and David Beckham.

The message read: "Dear Nicola, we love and miss you. Get well soon!! Sending lots of love and kisses!!"

It was signed by the fashion mogul and former footballer and all four of their children – Brooklyn, 22, Romeo, 18, Cruz, 16, and nine-year-old Harper.

Nicola, who has yet to clarify the nature of her illness, added the caption: "I have the best family, I'm so lucky – thank you so much!"

The Transformers actress, 26, appeared to feel just much better earlier this week when she raided her future mother-in-law's wardrobe for a glamorous outfit.

Former Spice Girl Victoria shared Nicola's stylish snap on her Instagram account, adding the caption: "Looks like the future Mrs Beckham has been in my wardrobe again!

"But you're forgiven because I love this VB bustier on you @nicolaannepeltz"

Nicola is currently planning her wedding to Brooklyn after the lovebirds announced their engagement in July last year.

Brooklyn is so smitten with the Bates Motel actress, who is the daughter of self-made billionaire investor Nelson Peltz, that he has got five tattoos in her honour.

His most recent inking was a massive tattoo of a love letter she wrote to him etched onto the back of his neck.

The words sit underneath a tattoo on the back of his neck of his wife-to-be's eyes.

The love letter reads: "My forever boy. Read this anytime you feel anxious. I want you to know how deeply loved you are.

"You have the kindest heart I've ever met and hope I never go a day without your love.

"I think you are so incredible. Just we can get through it all together if you breathe slow and trust. I love you beyond. Love always, your future wifey."
