Victoria Beckham, 47, has explained why she won’t be offering marriage advice to her and husband David Beckham’s, 46, eldest son Brooklyn and his fiancée Nicola Peltz, despite knowing all the secrets to a strong marriage. The former Spice Girl and professional footballer have become one of the most well-known of British married couples over the years, after tying the knot 22 years ago when they met while they were both famous in their respective fields.

But ahead of 22-year-old Brooklyn’s upcoming nuptials, the fashion designer admitted there is “nothing worse than someone giving advice”.

Speaking in a new interview, she explained why she won’t be passing on her words of wisdom.

She told the Wall Street Journal magazine: “I remember Geri [Horner] saying to me, ‘When you get a TV, you get a TV manual.

“‘But when you have a baby there’s no manual. You just got to figure that s**t out for yourself.’ That’s the truth,” she said.

She revealed that she’s always been “lucky” to have strong family unit, which stemmed from both her parents and Davids.

“I feel very blessed that I have that,” she beamed.

“The kids always come first to me and David.”

Victoria went on to say that there’s a difference between offering advice and supporting their children.

She continued: ‘We offer advice. There’s a difference between offering advice and being there to support them.

“If you offer it and they want to take it, that’s great!

“Sometimes they want it and sometimes they don’t. And that’s OK, too.”

Victoria pointed out that while she will always be on hand to help, there’s a value in her children learning from their “own mistakes”.

The former singer and David wed in a lavish ceremony in 1999.

They also share Romeo, 19 and Cruz, 16, and daughter Harper, 10, together.

Brooklyn and actress Nicola became engaged in June last year, although they are yet to announce a date for their wedding.

Elsewhere, as the young couple are enjoying engaged life, they recently broke some heartbreaking news to fans.

They both took to their respective Instagram accounts on Saturday to announce the sad news that their beloved dog Frankie, has died.

Brooklyn penned: “Frankie was the strongest, kindest dog I’ve ever met.

“He was so gentle and it was an honor to be his dad.

“I miss you so much my boy. I love you so much.”

Alongside the touching tribute he shared series of photos, which included a snap of himself and Nicola embracing the pup during what appeared to be one of his final moments.

In a moving post of her own, the actress also shared a collection of photos from throughout the years.

“My heart is shattered,” she penned, “my angel Frankie has gone to heaven and I can’t fathom the idea of not being able to kiss his face one more time.

“Every room he walked into everyone ran to him. His energy was so pure and full of happiness. He was the kindest dog I’ve ever met.”

“The fact I got to be his mom is one of the proudest things I can say. I miss him so much, my heart will never be the same without him here on earth.

“I love you so much Frankie and I know I’ll see you again one day. Thank you for loving me.”
