Which Members Of The Royal Family Snubbed Harry At Prince Philip’s Funeral?

Prince Harry attended the funeral for his grandfather, Prince Philip, on April 17, marking the Duke of Sussex’s first public appearance with other royal family members in more than a year. While just about everyone knows that Harry’s relationship with his brother, Prince William, and his father, Prince Charles, is strained, there are reportedly other family members that haven’t been super happy with Harry following his decision to step down a s senior member of the royal family, and move to California, according to the Daily Mail. Couple that decision with Harry’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired back on March 7, and there is no question that this trip to the UK was going to be awkward for the Duke of Sussex, to say the least.

Us Weekly previously reported that William and Harry would not walk next to each another during the procession behind Philips casket as it was carried to St. George’s Chapel. However, the Daily Mail has since reported that it was actually William’s request to have someone stand between them — their cousin Peter Phillips was the chosen one. But beyond the rumored snub from his own brother, Harry’s frosty welcome to the UK extended out further than his immediate family, according to the report. Read on to find out which members of the royal family allegedly snubbed the duke.

Prince Harry reportedly wasn't greeted by his own aunt and uncle

According to the Daily Mail, there has been “a great deal of frostiness” happening since Prince Harry arrived in the UK on April 11. As the Duke of Sussex quarantined at Frogmore Cottage, according to People, his own aunt and uncle reportedly “failed to acknowledge him,” according to the Daily Mail. The report indicated that Princess Anne and Prince Edward — and his wife Sophie — didn’t have much at all to do with Harry upon his arrival. “There is a deep sense of protection towards the Queen and resentment towards Harry. There is little sympathy for him after what he and Meghan said on Oprah,” a source told the outlet, adding that they “are still very upset.”

Following the funeral, tensions between Harry and Prince William seemed to ease. The two brothers were seen walking together on their way to Windsor Castle, chatting most of the way. There didn’t seem to be any hostility or uneasiness as the boys made their way inside. It’s unknown if Harry has had a chance to speak to any of his aunts or uncles, or if he has plans to stay in the UK and try to smooth things over with his father, but only time will tell at this point.
