Piers Morgan, 56, took to Twitter earlier today to aim another jibe at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. However, his response left his followers mixed as one asked “why are you so obsessed”?

Piers was reacting to the news Prince Charles financially supported the Sussexes until summer 2020.

This was confirmed earlier today by a spokesperson for Clarence House.

This was seemingly in contradiction to Prince Harry’s claim in his landmark Oprah Winfrey interview how his family “cut him off” financially in the first quarter of 2020.

However, he and Meghan have denied there is any discrepancy between the timelines.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes told reporters: “You are conflating two different timelines and it’s inaccurate to suggest that there’s a contradiction.

“The duke’s comments during the Oprah interview were in reference to the first quarter of the fiscal reporting period in the UK, which starts annually in April.”

However, outspoken former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers was quick to react to the news on social media.

He posted in view of his 7.9 million followers: “Was ANYTHING these two whiny clowns told ⁦@Oprah⁩ true? #AskingForAFriend.”

He accompanied the tweet with a picture of Prince Harry and Meghan chatting to Oprah.

Although, not everyone agreed with Piers’ comments taking to the replies to make their thoughts known.

One wrote: “Why are you so obsessed with them?”

“You’re obsessed with a couple half your age, very weird,” added a second.

A third follower penned: “Must be hard carrying this anger around.. time to move on?”

“Time to let it go……it’s embarrassing,” wrote another.

However, there were also some supporters of Piers in the comments below his tweet.

One penned: “If they want privacy, why do they insist on being media celebrities?”

Another wrote: “There should be huge apologies to you Piers starting from GMB and especially Beresford……”

“I do not believe anything they say either,” a third added.

“Good for you Piers for saying what the majority sees too.”

Piers left GMB back in March after saying he did not believe Meghan’s comments in the Oprah interview.

The show received more than 57,000 complaints to Ofcom over this.
