Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis, 49, has taken to Twitter ahead of having dental work on his front tooth, to admit that he’s feeling concerned about the procedure. The financial expert confessed that he was “slightly worried” about being in pain, before starting the process of getting an implant in his tooth, which involved having one of his front teeth removed.

In view of his 1.1 million followers, the TV star revealed that he was nervous ahead of visiting the dentist.

The father-of-one confessed that he wasn’t having a good start to the afternoon before starting the procedure.

He wrote: “Not a good afternoon for me. Start of process to have an implant in my front tooth.”

Martin went in to add that he was having one of his front teeth removed and was nervous about being in pain.

“It’s tooth coming out day. Slightly worried about the pain,” he confessed.

The star jokingly went on to add that he would try and “grit his teeth” to get through it, but admitted that it may not help given the nature of the procedure.

He signed off: “Would try and grit my teeth to get through it, but that may be counter productive.”

Fans of the money expert flocked to the comments to wish him luck, as well as providing advice for dealing with the pain of the procedure.

One told the TV personality that the aftercare was worse than the procedure itself, writing: “Don’t worry about the pain, the dentist will inject anesthetic to numb the gum & cheek.

“It’s the dribbling and mumbling afterwards that can be slightly awkward/funny..!”

Another applauded the star for undergoing the implant process.

They commented: “As someone who has had dental implants, I can thoroughly recommend them.

“I’m not gonna pretend that two hours in the chair is fun, but I certainly wouldn’t describe it as painful,” they added.

Another social media user told Martin to listen to music to help calm him down.

“I had one at the front. The only advice I would give is deep breathing and your music on your headphones. It will be worth it,” they added.

While another reassured the star: “Had a front tooth implant and it’s nothing to be scared of. Mine wasn’t painful at all. Be brave!”

Earlier in the day Martin had posted a video of himself eating a KitKat to “settle a dispute” between himself and his wife Lara Lewington.

Eating the four-fingered version of the chocolate bar, Martin caused outrage amongst his fans for his controversial way of eating it.

Commenting on the financial expert’s post about his teeth, one fan was convinced that the dental work he was undergoing was linked to the way he tucked into the chocolate bar.

“There has to be some correlation between that and the way you ate that Kit Kat earlier. I’m still not over it,” they quipped.
