Kim Kardashian isn't the only Kardashian-Jenner to go blonde, though she's probably the first one that comes to mind when fans imagine a blonde sibling. Today, Kourtney Kardashian shared a throwback clip on Instagram Stories showing her experience with going light — though it's a little different from her sisters' looks. In the clip, she shows off her teenage self and her yellow hair. That's right, it's not blonde, it's definitely bright yellow.
Die-hard fans will recognize the moment, which was back when Kourtney was 16. Before leaving for school, Kris Jenner asks her "Kourtney, do you have an appointment to have your hair fixed tomorrow?" Clearly, it wasn't the color anyone was going for, because Kourtney assured her that she would be getting it fixed.
Kourtney previously told People that she "was the original sister with the blonde hair!" saying, "I was blonde in high school for just like a month. I think I was in 11th grade or something." She added that the color didn't last long. Even after she presumably corrected the yellow to blonde, she went to a light brown with highlights. And from there, she went back to black. She went on to say that the process of going light was traumatizing to her hair — and probably her, too.
"I kept this hair color for only a month before dying my hair light brown with highlights. When I was getting my highlights touched up, all of them fried off and I had spikes of hair that stuck up so I dyed my hair black and cut it short," she said. "Even though I'll probably never do something this extreme with my hair again — because it destroyed my hair and took forever to get healthy — I'm happy I tried it once."
