‘Leyenda Viva’ marks the rapper’s first full studio album in three years and it serves as a follow-up to his sophomore release, ‘TattleTales’, which arrived in 2020.
AceShowbiz –6ix9ine has released a surprise new album, but this time, it’s not for hip-hop music. On Friday, June 16, the “GOOBA” emcee unleashed a project called “Leyenda Viva” and the songs are all in Spanish.
The LP has 11 tracks in total, including “Bori”, “Papa”, “WAPAE” ft. Bulin 47, “Mata” and “Pa Ti” among others. The album has a few guest appearances from other artists as Grammy-winning star Lenier appears on seven songs.
On Friday, 6ix9ine also treated fans to a music video for “Pa Ti”, which features a female artist named Yailin la Mas Viral. In the visuals, the two can be seen singing together in front of a massive, luxurious house in a tropical setting.
“Leyenda Viva” marks 6ix9ine’s first full studio album in three years. The new set serves as a follow-up to his sophomore release, “TattleTales”, which arrived in 2020.
The new album fuels fans’ speculations that 6ix9ine is leaving the rap game, which many disapproved of. He, however, has defended his decision to try something else.
“You know how many Spanish n***as is born and raised… in the whole of New York City? What ya’ll trying to say, Spanish n***as can’t eat? When you Spanish, you can only make Reggaeton?” he said in an Instagram video. “It’s our culture, too, n***a.”
“Name one Spanish rapper other than me… that can enter the top 10 on Billboard… Y’all just mad because I can enter a whole different demographic in the Spanish market,” he went on arguing. “I dominated the English, and I’m gonna dominate the Spanish.”
