Laura wasn't afraid to climb onto the strange machine to show her fans how it works, because many were probably left baffled by it.
In the clip, she says: "How does it work? Plug it in."
She then burst out laughing as soon as her film crew turned the mysterious machine on, which moved her legs apart.
One of the crew said: "That's the leg spreader".
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (May 3) with a clip of the moment, Laura wrote: "Over the years of filming @aplaceinthesunofficial we have certainly seen some strange things in some properties…
"Who remembers the 'Leg Spreader'! This was so funny and so weird!!!"
Fellow A Place in the Sun host Jasmine Harman joined the flock of fans laughing in the comments as she wrote: “Too much! I’m dying.”
Many fans were still confused about what the machine was supposed to do, with one asking: "What was the actual purpose of such a machine?"
but luckily some had the answer and revealed it in the comments.
One fan said: "O funny, I used to work in a toning bed salon…. I remember that one.."
Toning tables used to be popular as an ambient fitness machine which is meant to improve muscle toning, circulation and flexibility.
