BGT’s Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon cosy up as they pose for backstage snap

Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon got close for a sweet selfie backstage at Britain's Got Talent.

Amanda grinned, pointing to herself wearing a red high neck dress and tying her blonde locks back, leaving only two strands on show, with Alesha smiled, showing off her high bun, silver necklace and pink blazer co-ord.

The selfie appears to have been taken on the judging panel, where both ladies watch a barrage of acts audition to star on the ITV show.

Posting the selfie to the official BGT Instagram account, Amanda wrote: "More magical Manchester moments #BGT"

The selfie comes after reports of an alleged feud between Amanda and Alesha and new judge Bruno Tonioli.

The former Strictly Come Dancing judge replaced David Walliams on the panel after he made derogatory and sexually explicit remarks about contestants back in 2020.

Judges Simon Cowell, Bruno, Amanda and Alesha are apparently divided over the use of the Golden Buzzer, a special button which has the power to send acts straight to the semi-final if any of the judges or presenters Ant and Dec press it.

Simon was left so impressed by a dance act from Liverpool that he pressed the Golden Buzzer twice, breaking the rules of only one press per judge.

He said: "We don’t have any more Golden Buzzers, but sometimes I think you should break the rules. I’m in so much trouble right now — but you deserved it."

A source told The Mail Online that Bruno and Simon are reportedly 'riding roughshod over rules', with Amanda and Alesha allegedly demanding that they should get to press the buzzer twice too.

The source said: "Simon has already had a tricky time getting Bruno on board while keeping his fellow judges happy.

"He was the one who was determined to sign up his long-time mate, though Amanda, in particular, was keen on her friend Alan Carr to get the role."

They added: "Now Amanda and Alesha are having to stand firm again as it seems Simon and Bruno are riding roughshod over rules."
