Bob’s Burgers voice actors’ lives – skydiving death and bird watching passion

Bob's Burgers is set to become a Hollywood blockbuster as the animated series makes its way onto the big screen.

The hit animated feature movie, The Bob's Burgers Movie, is set to be distributed to cinemas on May 27.

The feature film was originally slated for a release date of July 2020. However, The Bob's Burgers Movie was pushed back to a later date due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

More than a decade since the show's debut in 2011, the animated comedy has had years of success, reaching its 12th series.

The Bob's Burgers Movie sees the return of the familiar-sounding voice cast members that made the show what it is today.

Daily Star digs deep into the show's voice actors and their lives outside of the show, from bird-watching career, to suffering from stage fright, to a tragic sky-diving death.

Dan Mintz as Tina Belcher

Fans of the Fox show will recognise comedian Dan Mintz, 40, as the voice of the gawky, zombie-obsessed teenager, Tina Belcher.

Dan, 40, has also been doing a very unique style of stand-up comedy for 15 years and admitted to having intense stage fright.

He revealed: "I'm not a natural performer, I have a natural stage fright. I was never planning to stay like that.

"I almost think that's why I enjoy it [being on stage], it's like going on a roller coaster — it's fun because it's terrifying.

H Jon Benjamin as Bob Belcher

H Jon Benjamin, 55, is one of America’s most recognisable voice actors and plays the show’s Bob Belcher.

The prolific actor admitted the pandemic re-ignited his passion for bird watching in 2020.

At the time, the actor would post daily on social media sharing his Morning Bird Reports.

Most videos would be set outdoors and feature around two minutes of his own personal bird sightings.

In his videos, the actor called out the ridiculousness of certain common bird names, explained the difference between a raven and a crown and created a guide about birding while driving.

Dave Creek was Bob's Burger's lead character designer

Dave Creek was the lead character designer for the Fox animated comedy and died last year after sustaining significant injuries following a skydiving session.

Reporting his death, Fox said: “We are heartbroken at the tragic passing of Dave Creek, an extraordinary artist who had been with Bob’s Burgers from day one.”

He was a passionate skydiver, as seen by numerous posts on his Instagram account and also spent his time making intricate treehouses made out of bonsai trees.

Kristan Schal as Louise Belcher

With one of the most recognisable voices in the industry, Kristen Schaal, 44, has had a hand in some of Hollywood’s most acclaimed animated projects.

Her most well-known role as Louise in Bob’s Burgers but she’s also voiced Mabel Pines in Gravity Falls and Sarah Lynn in Bojack Horseman.

Other roles include Amanda Simmons in The Hotwives of Orlando, Hazel Wassername on 30 Rock and Trixie in the Toy Story franchise.

Eugene Mirman as Gene Belcher

Eugene Mirman, 47, is a Russian-born American comedian and is known for voicing the only son of the family, Gene Belcher.

He is also known in the industry for his work on the critically acclaimed series Flight of the Conchords, and the animated show Home Movies.

His favourite episode of Bob's Burgers is OT The Outside Toilet.

He was married to set designer Katie Westfall-Tharp from 2015 until her death in January 2020.
