BTS Conclude 'Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul' Concerts

Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook of BTS have officially wrapped up their Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul concerts. The three-day concert series was held at the Seoul Olympic Stadium on March 10, March 12, and March 13. Here’s a look back at the special concert event.

Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul marked BTS’ first in-person concerts in South Korea since Love Yourself: Speak Yourself [The Final] in 2019.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, BTS’ 2020 Map of the Soul Tour was canceled. In 2020 and 2021, BTS were unable to perform any concerts with an in-person audience in South Korea. Instead, the band put on multiple virtual concerts.

While the Seoul Olympic Stadium is an incredibly spacious venue, capacity at Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul was limited due to restrictions regarding the coronavirus.

According to a press release, “The three-day in-person concert was attended by a total of 45,000 people in compliance with the COVID-19 protocols with a maximum capacity of 15,000 per show.”

More BTS fans watched ‘Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul’ through livestreams

In addition to having a limited in-person audience, two concert dates for Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul had online livestreams, and one show was broadcast in movie theaters around the world.

The concerts on March 10 and March 13 were streamed online for fans.

According to a press release, “The number of online viewers via live stream summed up to 1.02 million from 191 countries/regions on March 10 and 13.”

The March 12 concert had a special broadcast event called BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – SEOUL: LIVE VIEWING in movie theaters.

A press release about the Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul concerts states:

“Presented in 3,711 cinemas in 75 countries/regions, ‘LIVE VIEWING’ met approximately 1.4 million viewers total with reported sell-outs across the world.”

Each Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul concert featured a unique setlist, with BTS swapping out a few songs each night.
