Cardi B declared the "whole world is in a crisis" as she weighed in on the situation in the Ukraine.
The US rapper, 29, shared her opinions after reports that Russia had gone into the Eastern European country.
Russian tanks were reportedly seen on the outskirts of Donetsk, the capital of one of the country's two breakaway regions in the east.
She told fans that world leaders needed to "stop tripping about power".
Cardi addressed her social media followers in a video after a fan said they wondered what she thought of the situation.
"I actually want to say a lot of things but I'm just going to mind my business because sometimes I feel like I have such a big platform that if I don't say the right things I might get killed," she said.
"But I am really not on NATO's side, I am not on Russia's side, I am actually on the citizens side because at the end of the day the world is having a crisis right now."
The Bodak Yellow singer went on: "There's inflation not only in America but everywhere in the world. It's really hard to get the economy back up. There is so much shipments backed up.
"China's not really messing with us so a lot of things are behind, a lot of goods are behind and this s*** just made it way more complicated.
"So I am just really annoyed by this and I really wish that all world leaders right now just really come with a logical conclusion but… whatever."
Cardi also tweeted about the ongoing situation.
"Wish these world leaders stop tripping about power and really think about whose really getting affected (citizens) besides the whole world is in a crisis," she said.
"War, sanctions, invasions should be the last thing these leaders should worry about," the chart star added.
