Carol Vorderman has sold her opulent luxury mansion for a massive £2.6million – and has revealed her luxury home is named after a Countdown anagram of 'B*****ks* which was the main joke in a Stephen Fry comedy skit.

After a funny spoof by Stephen Fry, the 60-year-old TV personality named her luxurious gated Mansion in Bristol, Sloblock Hall, which is also an anagram of the X-rated word 'B*****ks' – now that's pretty ballsy.

After sharing a series of insider snaps of the magnificent home with her 192,000 Instagram followers, the star said farewell to her impressive mansion, which she described as her 'happy place'.

As said on her Instagram post commemorating her time at the Sloblock Hall, Carol viewed herself to be "a lucky woman" who "had a blast" in the property.

The impressive pictures teased the house's luxurious, extravagant views and grandeur.

In one picture, the star posed in Sloblock's modern and chic kitchen and in another she was snapped beside a humongous pool, where she looked absolutely tiny.

Reflecting on the mansion's funny name, Carol said: "Life's too short. It made me laugh every time I went through the gates."

Sloblock Hall, which Carol bought back in 2007 for £1.1million, was named after a humorous sketch segment by funnyman Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, which poked fun at the conundrum anagram round on Carol's time on Channel 4's Countdown.

The name came after a sketch that showed the letters BOLLOCSK being selected – leaving many viewers in hysterics.

With Carol adding: "Sloblock became our Countdown swear word."

The mansion's main living area features an impressive wood-burning open fire and glass ceiling, giving the whole property a contemporary, modern look.

The enchanting mansion situated in Bristol went up for sale for £2.6m and includes high-ceiling rooms with grand windows, surrounded by acres of greenery and trees.

Carol said she "kinda built" the property 15 years ago and spent years making "brilliant memories" which included some '"wicked parties".

The five-bedroom home comes complete with a cinema room, pool house, gym and a triple garage.

She added: "I never thought I'd get the name past the council naming committee, but I did cos I didn't tell them what it meant.

Since selling the house, the star sent her warmest of wishes to its future owners as she plans to embark on "new adventures".

The TV personality is said to have recently invested in a van that she plans to transform into a motor home to go travelling.
