Carol Vorderman wows in plunging top in Pride of Britain dress fitting teaser

Carol Vorderman left fans floored as she showed off a cheeky sneak peek of her Pride of Britain dress fitting.

The former Countdown star, 60, will host this year’s Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards alongside Diversity star Ashley Banjo.

Carol wasn’t afraid to show off her ageless curves in the suave behind-the-scenes snap, wearing a plain white template dress with a daringly plunging neckline.

The garment left her toned arms and collarbone exposed to the camera, while her brunette waves tumbled down past her shoulders for the stunning snap.

Later, Carol switched things up in a white halter-neck gown which featured artful lining across her chest and exposed shoulders.

A tailor could also be seen pinning parts of the dress together as Carol shared a snap from the back which showed the full complement of her hourglass figure and peachy derrière.

In another snap, Carol held up a scarlet gown with tight pleats for the camera, admitting she’d been trying on some sample dresses to get a feel for her shape and style ahead of the fitting.

The Countdown star admitted one had been worn before by This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby – and she was "well chuffed" that she could fit into it.

Carol penned: "I’ve been spoiled this year with two haute couture dresses for @PrideOfBritain awards. The dress I’ll wear tomorrow night has been made by @SuzanneNeville, one of the top dress designers especially for brides.

"NO I’M NOT GETTING MARRIED!" she added with a row of cry-laughing emojis.

Carol went on: "So this was how it went. 1. Go in and try on some sample dresses including one which had been made before for @HollyWilloughby… that one fitted like a glove… I was well chuffed I could fit into it!

"2. Suzanne designed what she thought would look respectful and suitable to host this huge event.

"3. They make a white ‘toile’ to my general size and measurements. Then while I’m wearing it all the final shaping is made.

"4. Using the ‘toile’ the dress is made in the fabric we’ve chosen… this year I’ve chosen a beautiful red to complement my clever, wonderful co-host @AshleyBanjogram who’s wearing a blue suit on the night.

"5. Yesterday I tried it on…."

Carol then paid thanks to Suzanne and her Pride of Britain stylist for their help in getting her prepped for the glam ceremony.

Carol also shared a snap of her from the back in a flowing red gown, with its figure-hugging skirt descending into a train of tight pleats.

Her brunette hair fell straight down her back and hit her waist in the glam photoshoot.

The star elaborated: "We have shortened the train as I move around the stage a lot and a long train is awkward for that.

"I love this dress… thank you thank you @SuzanneNeville and all the team for spoiling me so so much!"

For the red carpet, meanwhile, Carol is opting for a navy blue gown embroidered with gold swirling patterns and glittering jewellery to accompany it.

She wrote: "You can be more playful with dresses for the red carpet so @IsabellKristensenOfficial has made a wonderful gown for me. It’s STUNNING.

"Can’t believe how spoiled I am!" she added.

Carol went on to say: "I don’t really wear jewellery but tomorrow @HSternofficial are providing the most stunning diamonds… Here are just some they allowed me to choose from."
