Chloe Madeley was vomiting 18 hours a day after revealing fertility struggles

Chloe Madeley was 'vomiting for 18 hours a day' during extreme bouts of morning sickness.

The 34-year-old personal trainer has previously discussed struggling after falling pregnant, telling fans on Instagram how it halted her normal training regime.

Chloe is currently 21 weeks pregnant and is set to have the baby with rugby star husband James Haskell, who she married in 2018.

Speaking to OK!, she has now opened up about exactly how gruelling the experience was.

She told the publication: “I know how lucky I am to be pregnant and sometimes it’s like looking a gift horse in the mouth when I say I had a really horrible first trimester, but I did.

“I got through it because I knew how lucky I was and I was so happy to be pregnant.”

The personal trainer explained that from weeks nine to 14 she was throwing up from 2am until 8pm.

“It was pretty savage, but a thing that compounded it and made it a hysterical experience at times, was I also got really bad migraines at the same time,” she added.

Although she admitted to having a couple of “meltdowns” and scoffing lots of crisp sandwiches, the expectant mum said James was very supportive.

“It was tough – watching her being so tired and so ill,” the former Wasps star told OK!.

“I’m quite helpless but I put the occasional wet flannel on her head. Chloe likened it to having a hangover but without any of the fun.”

As well as detailing her “horrible” symptoms during her first trimester, the daughter of legendary presenting duo Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan opened up on her difficult journey to conceiving a child.

She explained it took two years for her to fall pregnant and it was spring last year when she became “scared” it would never happen for her.

Luckily, there was a happy ending and Chloe and James will become parents to a baby girl this summer.
