Dancing On Ice’s Sonny Jay hoping for six-pack to flaunt to fiancée Lauren Faith

Sonny Jay is currently competing to become the next champion of Dancing On Ice and while he may dream of taking home the trophy, his fiancée has other ideas.

The Capital FM Breakfast host has admitted that his goal on the show is to walk away with rock hard abs and extra muscle after a lack of exercise throughout the lockdown period.

Sonny, 27, who became known after appearing on Britain's Got Talent as a member of the Loveable Rogues is skating through each week with Angela Egan who is certainly putting him through his paces.

The singer turned presenter has joked that his fianceé Lauren Faith is also hoping he walks away more muscular, rather than more skating skills.

Sonny and Lauren became engaged in August 2020 when got down on one knee during an idyllic getaway to Mykonos with a group of pals including Roman Kemp.

"One of the first things she said when I agreed to do the show was, ''Oh, you might get a six-pack'," he told The Mirror.

He added: "In lockdowns, I put on weight, now I'm putting it on in muscle.

"The top half is feeling good, it's a nice feeling, I'm more confident."

Sonny's journey on Dancing On Ice is certainly one to be proud of, being one of just seven couples left in the skating competition.

Last Sunday, the pair became the first skating couple to nail an overhead lift, impressing the star-studded judging panel, including skating legends Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean.

Christopher showered Sonny with praise, noting that he had been "silent on the ice", meaning that he managed to get the "blade just right".

After starring on Britain's Got Talent with his Loveable Rogues pals, Sonny was later signed to Simon Cowell's record label, Syco, before the music mogul dropped them.

Speaking of his former boss, Sonny revealed: "I haven't heard from him since but there are no hard feelings."

The band made it to the finals of the sixth series but were beaten by performing dog Pudsey with his owner Ashleigh.

Dancing On Ice continues tonight at 6pm on ITV.
