Danniella Westbrook has revealed a glamorous new look after being given a stunning makeover at a salon.
The former EastEnders actress posted a new photo to Instagram looking fabulous along with an inspiring message to fans.
The 47-year-old has been clean from drugs for over a year and has been very open regarding her ‘dark days’ and managing her bipolar disorder.
She took the opportunity to thank her fans and her kids on Instagram for supporting her through her recovery.
Danniella also wants to return the favour by asking any of her struggling fans to reach out to her.
She wrote: "Firstly I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who follows me on not just @instagram but on all of my social media platforms. The love, loyalty, support & encouragement you guys have shown me has helped me through so so much. More than you know to be honest.
“During some of my darkest times the kind words and messages of encouragement helped me find the strength that some days I didn’t think I could find. People have reached out to me on here for help when they too have been struggling with life or addiction or mental health and for those of you that have done so I want you to know, I applaud you for your bravery 2 share your pain and struggles with me.
“Just by helping, listening and talking to you all it has in turn helped to dig deep not give up and has restored my faith in people. It has also reminded me that when I have a down day or a bipolar low that I too need to tell myself I’m only human that it’s ok not to be ok sometimes and that I am not expected to suffer in silence.”
Danniella admitted that her drug addiction has not been easy with the battle started at just the age of 14.
During her acting career as the popular Sam Mitchell in EastEnders, her cocaine usage caused her septum to disintegrate.
Her post on Instagram continued: “The last 2 years have not been a walk in the park for any of us, but for me personally I embrace every experience I’ve had be it good or bad. I’ve learned that my glass is half full never half empty. The love of my children and my family has always been there for me it never went away, I was the one who was lost they never gave up hope that I would find a way to love myself and be happy.
