Does Styles speak French? Here’s what we know about this former One Direction member, his solo project, and the languages that he can speak.

Harry Styles is the artist behind the songs ‘Watermelon Sugar,’ ‘Sign of the Times,’ and ‘Adore You’

This artist got his start in the boy band, One Direction. Since the group disbanded, though, Styles struck out as a solo artist, releasing full-length albums and earning millions of Spotify plays in the process.

Since his solo debut, Styles earned several awards and nominations, including the Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance. Some fans also praised him for his activism, whether he’s supporting the Black Lives Matter movement or waving an LBGTQ flag during his concert.

Some fans also noticed that Styles could somewhat speak French, showing off his skills during interviews and live performances.

Although this artist is British, he does speak and understand some French. Even during interviews with One Direction, this artist showcased his French skills, as seen in one video clip published in 2012. However, some fans debate whether or not he’s fluent.

According to G Data Mart, Styles “was learning French for the last three years, and as of 2021, he is quite fluent in French. In an interview, he revealed that he wants to learn some other languages like Spanish, Italian, and German.”

Of course, this artist’s primary language is English, which is his preferred language to sing in. There is the Fine Line track, “Cherry,” though, which includes a segment spoken in French by Styles’ ex-girlfriend Camille Rowe.

What other languages can Harry Styles speak?

Some fans consider the “Watermelon Sugar” singer to be trilingual. In 2013, this artist revealed that he was serious about learning to read and write in Hebrew. That year, Styles tweeted, “Looking forward to seder night. Always get a bit nervous when I have to sing ma’nish ta’na. But do love a shmorreh matzah. Happy pesach.”

Fans even created video compilations of this artist speaking other languages during his concerts. It’s primarily words and phrases like “make some noise” and “we love you.” Now and then, though, Styles showcased his language skills.

“I went on holiday with my family as 15-year-old people do and I made friends with a German boy and his brother, and we played volleyball every day. So, I just know the numbers, really,” Harry Styles said to a crowd in Germany, then listing numbers in German.

Fans can catch up with this artist on social media. Music by Styles, including his 2019 album Fine Line, is available on most major music streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
