The ‘Kiss Me More’ hitmaker claps back at an individual on Twitter after she was accused of giving her team Covid-19 and blaming them following the Jingle Ball cancellation.
AceShowbiz –Doja Cat felt down after she was forced to call off her scheduled performance at iHeartRadio’s annual Jingle Ball in Boston and New York City because of Covid-19. Add to the fact that she was accused by an individual on Twitter of giving her team the virus and blaming them for it, the “Kiss Me More” hitmaker was furious.
“Why is she mad at her team for getting Corona when SHE passed it to them…get a grip, doja,” the critic commented following the star’s announcement. The singer was quick to respond in a fiery note, “Excuse me, B***h? I’m mad at the fact that I can’t perform. Don’t you ever put words in my mouth, you f**king demonic rat.”
Doja previously told her fans she was “extremely disappointed” for missing the upcoming holiday festivity due to a Covid-19 outbreak among the members of her team. “I love you guys so much and I’m so sad this is happening but I will see you all soon,” she wrote on her Instagram before later adding, “I’m f**in pissed.”
“We recently learned that a few members on my production team have tested positive for Covid-19 and are now on quarantine,” so the R&B singer/songwriter told her online followers in a longer statement ahead of the show.
“For the health and wellbeing of the rest of our crew, we are following all the appropriate safety measurements and necessary precautions, which means I won’t be able to perform at iHeartRadio’s New York Z100 and Boston KISS FM Jingle Ball,” she continued.
“I’m extremely disappointed, Jingle Ball has a great line up for you all, wish I could be there. Much love to all my fans,” she concluded.
Before the Covid-19 debacle, Doja Cat rocked 102.7 KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball 2021 Presented by Capital One at The Forum in Inglewood, California. She was joined at the last week concert by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Lil Nas X, Saweetie, Tate McRae, Bazzi, Dixie D’Amelio, BTS, The Kid LAROI, Black Eyed Peas, and Anitta.
For the upcoming NYC gig, Doja was not the only performer to call off her slot. Dua Lipa was unable to perform at the concert either. She’d already flown to the U.S. to prepare for her performance but laryngitis forced her to take a break from singing. “As per my doctor’s orders today, I will need to be on vocal rest for the next few days in order to fully heal,” the Brit explained.
