Model Leilani Dowding has branded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's behaviour as "really gross and un-royal" after it was announced last month the Prince will release his life story.
The Duke, 36, and Duchess, 40, of Sussex formerly stepped down from their Royal duties on March 31, 2020.
Since leaving the Palace behind them and starting a new fresh life in LA, they have enjoyed the celebrity lifestyle which includes appearing on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke, along with creating television programmes and podcasts.
Prince Harry now plans to release an "accurate and wholly truthful" memoir which aims to explore the man he has become and not the life he was born into.
The way in which they've gone about things has left a bad taste in the former Page 3 star's mouth and now Leilani "doesn't believe Prince Harry and Meghan ever wanted privacy".
Speaking to Express.co.uk about Harry's decision to release a tell-all book, Leilani said: "Telling your memoirs is the absolute opposite of what they said they wanted."
She added: "So quite honestly, I just don't believe they ever wanted privacy."
"They wanted to be a part of the Royal Family, not the privacy, but so that they could sell everything and that’s my opinion."
Leilani continued: "It's horrific and I can't even think of somebody thinking that through, it's really gross behaviour and completely un-royal — the complete opposite of royal."
The Royal Holloway student is hopeful that the publication will include some of Harry's fun side including his "naughty behaviour".
The rumour mill had been sent into overdrive recently when it was claimed Prince Harry would be releasing a number of memoirs.
A spokesperson for the Sussexes issued a statement to rectify the situation, claiming it was just "false media reports" and that he only planned to release one.
It is believed the deal for Harry's version of events with Penguin Random House is worth an estimated £29million.
Speaking about the publication in a statement, the Prince explained: "I'm writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.
"I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I've learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that's accurate and wholly truthful."
