Fans Disappointed After Lil Wayne Cancels Atlanta Show at Last Minute

The 40-year-old Young Money boss, who has been on his ‘Welcome to tha Carter Tour’, is forced to cancel the Atlanta show ‘due to unforeseen circumstances.’

AceShowbizLil Wayne has left fans disappointed after canceling his Atlanta show. Many social media users expressed their disappointment after the “Sucker for Pain” rapper announced the news at the last minute.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances we have to reschedule the Atlanta show tomorrow,” the 40-year-old wrote on Instagram Story. “I apologize to my fans, but I kan’t wait to turn up with y’all soon. Luv ATL.”

People were upset upon hearing the announcement, with one person writing, “No no no no no Lil Wayne cancelled the Atlanta show the morning of?!?!?! I’m going to spend my day sad crying instead of happy crying now.” Another tweeted, “Seriously blows. I leave on a flight to Atlanta @3 to be there @5 and it’s non refundable so yeah get to spend few hours in Atlanta for no reason.”

“@LilTunechi wasted flight ,hotel ,and car,” a third individual wrtoe. oh and PTO, guess I’ll go to Waffle House … #lilwayne Atlanta.” Someone else argued, “Lil Wayne canceled his Atlanta show tonight… he better not even try that s**t Monday.”

Wayne is currently on his “Welcome to tha Carter Tour”. He kicked off the trek on April 4 at The Fillmore in Minneapolis and will make several stops in cities across the United States before wrapping the 28-show trek on May 13 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.

During a stop in Toronto, the Young Money boss brought up his former signee Drake. The “Certified Lover Boy” artist walked onstage wearing a black ensemble at that time, prompting fans to erupt in cheers.

Prior to this, Wayne showed up at Drake’s set at the 2023 Dreamville Festival. 21 Savage, GloRilla and Lil Uzi Vert also surprised fans with their appearances.

The first to take the stage was Glo, who entertained the crowd by delivering her viral hit “FNF (Let’s Go)”. Uzi came next, rapping two of his biggest hits, “XO Tour Llif3” and “Just Wanna Rock”.

Drake later performed a rendition of his 2011 track “The Motto” alongside Wayne. The Canadian rap star then left the stage so the 40-year-old rhymer could perform his tracks “Uproar” and “A Milli”.
