World-famous Glastonbury Festival will return to the events scene next year at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset with a host of chart-topping names expected to headline the event.
For Glastonbury 2022, Happier Than Ever singer Billie Eilish headlined the Pyramid Stage on the Friday night, with former Beatles star Paul McCartney taking centre stage on the Saturday and Don't Kill My Vibe rapper Kendrick Lamar on the Sunday evening.
Although excitement is brewing for next year's festival, Glastonbury organisers have been criticised after announcing the prices for next year's festival – with costs being hiked up.
But when is Glastonbury 2023 and how much will tickets cost?
Here's everything you need to know.
When is Glastonbury Festival 2023?
Glastonbury Festival will take place between Wednesday, June 21 and Sunday, June 25 in 2023.
Although the festival takes place over five days, the main music event will take place between June 23 and June 25.
How much are Glastonbury 2023 tickets?
It was revealed on October 17 that for a full weekend ticket, festival goers will have to pay an eye-watering £335, plus £5 booking fee.
The cost of a full weekend ticket for Glastonbury in 2022 was £280 plus a £5 booking fee. When the tickets originally went on sale in 2020, they were priced at £265.
Campervan tickets for 2023 will cost £150, which is an increase on last years £125 per ticket. A bigger campervan pitch will set you back £250.
Social media users took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the price increase.
One user said: “Love Glastonbury, but for many people this is just unaffordable at this time.”
Another person said they would not be going to the festival next year due to the price hike. They said: “In other news, I guess I won't be going to Glastonbury this year.”
However, others disagreed, claiming that despite the price increase, tickets were worth every penny.
One social media user said: “I mean, it‘s still a bargain, but that’s a big leap.”
