GMBs Kate Garraway pays emotional tribute to extraordinary Queen Elizabeth

Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway has paid an emotional and touching tribute to Queen Elizabeth II after her sad passing was announced on Thursday evening (September 8).

The ITV daytime favourite took to Instagram soon after the sad news was announced to pay her respects to the longest reigning Monarch – while dubbing her presence as "extraordinary".

Posting a sweet collage of Her Majesty on Instagram, Kate penned a caption which read: "RIP HM Queen Elizabeth II.

"We will forever be in your debt for your lifetime of dedication. Mother, grandmother, great grandmother – my thoughts are with all the Royal family for their loss.

"Sending love too to all those, like me, who feel the loss of her extraordinary presence as a constant in all our lives, seems even now, strangely and unsettlingly unreal."

Kate's followers were quick to flood the comments with sweet messages about the Queen.

One penned: "Doesn’t it just….she was like a unique member of all our extended families. What a wonderful human being! We were so lucky to have her…"

Another added: "The United Kingdom has lost its rock. A reign like no other, her loyalty, dedication and commitment will never be bettered."

"You’re so right she’s been a constant in our lives and for me, she has provided comfort and words of wisdom that have designated with me all my life, she’s always been there it doesn’t seem real," penned a third.

While a fourth sweetly said: "Phillip is waiting for her hand to hold."

This comes after Her Majesty passed away on Thursday evening following a day full of worry for the entire nation – and world.

At around midday, the palace released a statement which read: "Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.

"The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral."

Fears instantly began to grow, and just hours later at around 6:30pm the news broke that she had passed away this evening.
