The ‘Pushin P’ hitmaker, who released the track on Friday, June 2, insists that he doesn’t diss Baby with his lyrics although he calls out those who have turned their back following his prison stint.
AceShowbiz –Gunna made it clear that he has no problem with Lil Baby. The “Pushin P” hitmaker has been accused of dissing Baby on his new track “Bread and Butter”, but he has shut down the claim.
On Friday, June 2, Hollywood Unlocked shared a screenshot of DJ Akademiks‘ comment underneath a music video for Gunna’s new track. It read, “I just wanna know why Gunna talking bout Lil Baby like dis…Hollllyyyyyyyyyyy.”
DJ Akademiks’ comment did not go unnoticed by Gunna. In response, he replied, “That’s Capp,” adding, “I’m just lettin’ the world hear my story.”
“Bread and Butter” was released on Friday. On the song, Gunna reflects on his RICO case while slamming other rappers who switch on him amid his snitching accusations.
“F**k I pay the lawyers all those mills for?/ Just so I won’t have to say a word to dodge a railroad,” the 29-year-old rhymes. “Never gave no statement or agreed to take no stand on ’em/ On whatever you n***as on, then trust me, I’ma stand on it/ Lawyers and the D.A. did some sneaky s**t, I fell for it/ On my Ps and Qs because this time, I be prepared for it.”
Gunna also suggests that he keeps loyal to Young Thug, who is still currently behind bars. “Never f**ked a n***a, always stayed solid/ Kept it real with n***as, never lied and always stay honest.” He goes on, “Love my bro so much, I never change on ’em/ Hunna Wunna goin’ do the work, bring you the damn profits.”
The “DS4Ever” artist later calls out those who have turned their back. “Peepin’ s**t, I’m seein’ n***as fall back/ You b***h-a** n***as got me as the topic of the chat/ You switched on me when you know you in business with a rat/ And the boy that’s like your brother, and nobody speak on that,” he spits.
