Hairy Bikers star Si King has shared “exciting” news with his loyal legion of fans – away from his good pal and co-star Dave Myers.
The 56-year-old’s latest venture comes amid Dave’s ongoing battle with cancer.
Dave was diagnosed with the condition last year, having to undergo gruelling treatment which caused his iconic hair to fall out.

But Si has been by his pal's side the entire time – until now it seems.
Earlier this week, Si took to The Hairy Bikers Instagram page where he updated their 225k followers on his plans for this summer.
“EXCITING NEWS!” he captioned the post.
“I’m heading to @pubinthepark Leamington Spa and Tunbridge Wells in July, then Chiswick in September,” he wrote.
“Find me at the Saturday sessions at these locations! See you there?”
Simon’s exciting news comes not long after he and Si left fans devastated with a “sad” update on their series.
The Hairy Bikers reunited this month for their new food series Go Local – amid Dave’s ongoing cancer battle.
But the pair have now issued the devastating update that the series has already come to a close after eight episodes, so fans won’t be in for a new instalment for a while.
Taking to Instagram to share a still from the programme, the Geordie foodies wrote: “Sadly, the series has come to an end.
“We hope you enjoyed the series and the journey we went through with each episode, we look forward to seeing you on your telly sometime soon!”
The lads concluded: “Be sure to catch all of the episodes from GO LOCAL on iPlayer! All recipes can be found on the @bbcgoodfood website. Love Si and Dave.”
Fans soon poured into the comments section to praise the pair and share their sadness at the end of a new series.
One fan penned: “Absolutely brilliant series. Thanks so much for supporting us and so many brilliant other businesses. We’ll be rewatching the whole thing all over again!”
“It was too short!” another moaned, adding: “Need more screen time with you guys!”
Another fan gushed: “Always enjoy our lovely Hairies! Still 2 recorded shows to watch, but also love old shows too… my fave was up North but they can’t all be the same. Keep them coming boys!!!
