Harry Styles announces fans must be fully vaccinated to attend US tour

Harry Styles has announced that anyone attending his Love On Tour in the US must show proof they’ve received both vaccines and will have to wear masks.

The Watermelon Sugar hitmaker, 27, is imposing the rules to stop the spread of coronavirus, and anyone with a ticket who has not been jabbed will instead have to provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test to be allowed into venues.

Taking to Instagram to inform attendees, Harry’s team said: ‘We are looking forward to seeing everyone as we return to the road!

‘For the health and safety of everyone attending Love On Tour, all ticket holders must provide proof of a full Covid-19 vaccination or proof of a negative Covid-19 test within 48 hours prior to entry, in addition to wearing a mask.’

They signed off by thanking fans, assuring them: ‘We can’t wait to see you! – HSHQ’

Promoter Live Nation also confirmed the Covid regulations in order to protect the ‘health and safety of everyone’ attending and involved with the tour.

They reassured fans that venue staff will follow the same guidelines, and there ‘will be no exceptions to these policies.’

The Dunkirk actor’s US tour kicks off next month after being rescheduled several times following the release of his hit album, Fine Line, in 2019.

However, the former One Direction star also postponed all of his UK and European shows, and fans aren’t happy with the current tour arrangements.

The musician’s Paris show recently appeared to be cancelled by Ticketmaster and there is currently no estimation for when international shows might take place.

One superfan took to Twitter, saying: ‘It’s not safe doing a whole tour right now, above all in the US where the covid cases are around +200k per day [sic].

‘A covid test and a mask are useless if you put +20k people together in a place. just postpone the whole thing.’

Another wrote: ‘I won’t be able to fully enjoy the concert, or give Harry the energy to have a positive experience. I think most people will be the same. I will be worried.’

Many are confused as to what is happening, and uncertain if the full tour will even go ahead.

Fans travelling across continents to see their beloved star are also frustrated, as current travel restrictions make it almost impossible to enter the States.

The Grammy winner last updated his followers in July, tweeting: ‘To everyone in the UK and across the world, I can’t wait to see you again, but for obvious reasons it is just not possible at this time.

‘I will be sharing more news soon about shows across the globe and new music.’

Love On Tour starts in September.
