Line Of Duty star Anna Maxwell Martin was back on our screens last night in new ITV drama Hollington Drive, but while fans were happy to see her, it wouldn't have been the easiest time for the actress.
Just last week she was hit with the devastating news that her husband, who she split from last year, died last week.
Roger Mitchell and Anna met in 2003 and later began dating in 2004, with the pair ultimately marrying and having two children together.
TV and film director Roger, 65, was known for his work on hit movies including Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant British romcom hit Notting Hill.
He had also worked with big-name Hollywood stars including Ben Affleck, Harrison Ford, Samuel L. Jackson, Kate Winslet, Susan Sarandon, Helen Mirren, and Judi Dench to name but a few.
It was confirmed that Roger had died on September 22, although his cause of death remains unknown.
Roger and Anna had daughters Maggie and Nancy together.
He also had two children from his first marriage to actress Kate Buffrey, agent Rosanna Michell and writer/actor Harry Michell.
Anna previously spoke about their separation in an interview with You, she said at the time: "I groomed him to fall in love with me. But you know, we aren’t together anymore.
"Our marriage has ended and we’ve been separated for quite some time. I haven’t really spoken about it because it isn’t fair on all the people involved.
"There are four children to think about. It’s taken an enormous amount of time, but we are all getting through it in a healthy way."
Anna – who plays Theresa in new crime drama Hollington Drive – filmed the project in Wales earlier this year.
The four-part series focuses on two sisters whose worlds are turned upside down when tragedy strikes as a child goes missing.
Hollington Drive is on Wednesdays at 9pm on ITV with episodes available to view on ITV Player after they air.
