To watch BTS’ crosswalk concert, fans will need to tune into The Late Late Show on CBS. The episode will air on CBS at 12:37 a.m. EDT on Dec. 16.

What is BTS’ crosswalk concert?

On The Late Late Show, James Corden frequently puts on crosswalk concerts and musicals with artists and actors. For a crosswalk musical, Corden and the cast of a production will perform musical numbers. During a crosswalk concert, artists will perform their hit songs with Corden.

The catch is that the impromptu concerts and musicals take place at an intersection outside of The Late Late Show studio. Songs are performed during rush hour while cars wait at a red light. Once the light turns green, the performers sprint to the sidewalk as quickly as possible.

Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook of BTS were spotted filming a crosswalk concert on Nov. 23. Passerbys and drivers showed photos and videos on social media of the septet performing their songs “Dynamite” and “Butter.”

On Nov. 23, The Late Late Show Twitter account shared a sneak peek of the band’s “Dynamite” crosswalk performance.

BTS are taking an ‘extended period of rest’

BTS appeared on The Late Late Show for an interview on Nov. 23, and the members also performed their song “Permission to Dance.” The group’s performance of “Butter” aired on The Late Late Show on Dec. 8.

On Dec. 5, Big Hit Music announced that the members of BTS will be taking an “extended period of rest” for the holidays.

In the statement, Big Hit Music wrote:

“This period of rest will provide the members of BTS who have tirelessly committed themselves to their activities, a chance to get re-inspired and recharge with creative energy. It will also be the first time for them since their debut to spend the holiday season with their families. We kindly ask once again that you show consideration for their need to enjoy ordinary and free, everyday lives while solely concentrating on themselves, albeit for a short while, during their period of rest.”

In 2022, BTS will put on Permission to Dance On Stage concerts in Seoul and also plan to release a new album.
