Kylie Jenner is one of the most influential figures in the world today, so it's no wonder her ramen noodle "recipe" went viral and had fans across the world scrambling to try Kylie's favourite dish.
TikTok is filled with videos of creators trying out the reality star's recipe, so who can blame me for having high expectations?
In an attempt to dive into the world of Kylie Jenner, I made the popular ramen noodle dish I'd heard so much about.

Keep reading to check out how I got on – spoiler alert, it was completely underwhelming.
Cheap, easy and made of simple ingredients you probably already have in your cupboard, Kylie's concoction first called for chicken flavoured noodles.
I boiled the kettle and added the hot water into a pan along with the noodles and placed a lid on top to let them simmer and soften.
While I waited, I beat an egg in a bowl as Kylie's recipe called for, drained the noodle water and added the egg along with a wedge of butter and some garlic granules.
Once cooked and mixed together I transferred everything into a bowl and…et voila, I was faced with the saddest looking bowl of noodles I'd ever seen.
Although admittedly reluctant due to the obvious lack of flavour, I gave it a go and it was fine. That's it, just fine. Okay. Alright.
Considering the hype around Kylie's "recipe," I was expecting it to rock my world but in all honesty, it was nothing to write home about.
Maybe I would settle for such a bland dish in an absolute pinch but I just can't wrap my head around why Kylie simply refused to season her noodles, and although the egg added next to nothing in terms of flavour, I did appreciate the extra hidden protein.
The sad looking bowl stared up at me and my tastebuds cried out for some seasoning so I added a few extras from the fridge.
I used a generous dash of soy sauce, a drizzle of Frank's, a bit of smoked paprika and some lemon juice.
I won't say it was game changing, but it certainly changed those noodles – for the better.
I would have liked to add some spring onions and a few more veggies but for a quick meal, you really can't complain (although I just wrote an entire article doing just that).
Note to Kylie Jenner – seasonings and sauces won't hurt you!
