Strictly: It Takes Two host Rylan has shown off his new teeth after having his famous veneers removed.

The 33-year-old shared a video documenting his recovery, though after previously hiding his new smile he flashed his gnashers – and even the new set looked just as white and pristine.

The popular presenter, who also has a Saturday afternoon show on Radio 2, said his face was "swollen" the day after the procedure.

Rylan looked groggy as he rubbed his enlarged cheeks in a previous video to his his 1.5million followers.

"Swollen," he wrote over the clip.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star kept his mouth closed put promised to show off his new teeth soon, which he has now finally done.

On Monday, the cheeky star made an announcement in his witty style. Writing on Twitter, he said: "After 8 years. It hurts, so much, but sometimes you just have to let go.

"I’ve taken the decision to say goodbye… to my teeth new smile imminent."

Rylan's friend, This Morning star Alison Hammond, summed up much of the reaction, replying with a horrified: "Nooooooooooooo."

The shock reverberated around social media, with some fans joking that the veneers needed to be donated to the V&A museum in London as a piece of British history.

One told the star: "Nice one babe-you'll be handsome whatever gnashers you have."

Former EastEnders actor Danny Hatchard, who played Lee Carter, joked: "Thank f**k, I’ll take my shades off next time I see ya x."

Rylan was later seen smiling as he headed to the BBC's Elstree studios to film Strictly spin-off It Takes Two.

Never one to take himself too seriously, Rylan has joked that getting his teeth done before his first major TV gig after The X Factor proved to be a blessing.

He told Notebook in 2017: "I got my veneers finished the day before I started hosting Big Brother's Bit On The Side, my first presenting job.

"My mouth was swollen from the anaesthetic, they were brilliant-white, brand new.

"That was the first night everyone saw them, and all people did was take the p**s out of my teeth.

"So no one realised I was a s*** presenter, and by the time they stopped talking about my teeth a few months later, I'd got better at the job."
