Foyle's War actress Honeysuckle Weeks got behind behind the wheel of her car while drunk to escape an unwanted threesome, a court heard.
The 43-year-old ITV star, best known for playing Samantha Stewart in the drama, had been out drinking with friends and was invited to stay over for the night.
She claimed her friend also invited his lover over to his house in West Sussex, London and that she was worried she would be pressured into having sex with them both.

After leaving despite being drunk, Weeks reversed into a parked car before driving off.
She was spotted by an off-duty police officer who suspected her of being drunk behind the wheel.
The actress was taken to a police station where it was discovered that she was more than twice the legal drink drive limit – 78 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath.
At court in Worthing on Tuesday (January 10), she pleaded guilty to drink driving.
Weeks told magistrates: "I was expecting to stay night in a friend's house in Arundel.
"But the man and question invited his lover to the property and I was in danger of being coerced into sexual actions with them which I found extremely unwelcome."
Magistrates banned the TV star from driving for 20 months.
The ITV star has also been fined £120 with £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £48.
She has agreed to do a drink driving awareness course which would reduce her driving ban by 20 weeks.
It would mean she will get her licence back in April 2024.
Weeks told magistrates in court she needed her car to take her son to school every day.
And she claimed she was not earning any money at present and was only receiving Universal Credit.
