Josie Gibson humiliated after insulting trip to brutal restaurant

This Morning presenter Josie Gibson has told her fans she was left "humiliated" after a visit to a "brutal" new restaurant.

The former Big Brother winner shared a cheeky photo in Karen's Diner, flicking the Vs to the person taking the snap.

In the caption, the 37-year-old wrote: "What a place!"

Josie told her 369,000 followers: "I've never been so insulted in my life, it was brutal, but weirdly my humiliated self really enjoyed it!

"The food was good, the service was astonishingly bad and it was epic LOL."

Explaining that it had all been for This Morning, she laughed: "All I can say is good luck to our editors."

The Karen's Diner account commented: "Don't come back," as Josie added the hashtag: "Rude."

But not all is as it seems – and people go to Karen's Diner especially for the terrible service.

Karen's Diner originally opened in Australia, but its ever-growing popularity has seen it launch three restaurants in the UK.

The chain has three UK locations – Manchester, Birmingham and Sheffield – and it will soon hit the US in cities such as New York, Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles.

The odd experience has become popular to share on TikTok, with countless videos showing the terrible service and rude interactions with staff.

The servers swear at guests, huff and puff and make it seem like they'd much rather be doing anything else – but that's all part of the appeal.

The chain's website describes it as "an interactive diner and an absurdly fun experience".

"At Karen's you will be greeted and waited upon by rude waiters who in return are expecting you to give it full Karen," it states.

"A place where you can complain until the cows come home because we literally don't care."

While the service may be bad, the website assures guests they can "expect good food" with "handcrafted burgers", as well as wings, fries and "most things that are cholesterol heavy".

It adds: "Our staff are rude, our manners are non-existent and we're the perfect place for Karens everywhere to vent their anger and dismay at the world.

"Come on, ask for the manager… we dare you."

The chain is, of course, mocking the social stereotype of the "Karen" – a middle-aged white woman often seen complaining to the manager about the most unimportant issues.
