Katie Price fuming as fraudster tries to make thousands from disabled son Harvey

Katie Price has been left "disappointed" and has cut ties with PR man James Austin, who runs the firm Lucky7, after he tried to claim thousands of pounds in Harvey Price's name.

James, who was previously jailed for two years in 2012 for passing fake notes at Royal Ascot, was paid £3,750 by celebrity message company Memmo after saying disabled Harvey would record clips for fans.

But, according to Sunday Mirror, Katie had no idea about the deal, which has since been scrapped, and has warned people to steer clear of James.

She said in a now-deleted Instagram video: "If he approaches you to do posts for me it's not legit."

And a spokesperson for Katie, 42, said that she was "deeply disappointed by the way James Austin conducted his business", adding: "Katie is the only person who manages her son.

"Katie is dedicated to her fans and supporters and continues onwards and upwards with a strong supporting team around her."

James admitted he received the payment of £3,750 but refused to say what happened to the money.

He claimed: "Katie, Carl and Harvey were aware of the deal for months. For her to say she didn't know is wrong.

"I only entertain work for her when she tells me to, and she told me to get her and Harvey work for messaging platforms."

Meanwhile, Memmo said they "resolved the matter directly with Katie and her team" and are still on good terms.

Katie has worked with James in the past, but now she and fiancé Carl Woods, 31, have cut ties with the businessman.

She said: "I've removed a lot of people out of my life. I only like positiveness around me – no negativity to bring me down or do me wrong."

The Lucky7 Instagram page has a number of photos of Katie, Carl and Harvey on the profile, advertising their paid promotions and availability for collaborations.

As well as being jailed in 2012, James was convicted in 2008 of using his own grandparents' names to fraudulently claim tens of thousands of pounds.

And then in 2017, former client Lee Chapmen accused him of leaving him out of pocket after he signed him as a Jamie Vardy lookalike.

However James has now said that Lee breached his contract, and said: "I regret what happened 10 years ago and have been trying to move on."
