Katie Price is ‘healing’ from traumas after opening up in bombshell documentary

Katie Price has apparently been able to work through some of her past traumas after opening up about her life in a new documentary.

The star speaks about her 2021 car accident in Channel 4's Katie Price: Trauma And Me – as well as traumas such as being raped at gunpoint during a terrifying carjacking incident four years ago and being diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

According to the Mirror, a source has now said that although revisiting difficult times was tough, it has helped Katie's healing process.

"Katie's documentary has been such an emotional rollercoaster for her," an insider was quoted as telling new! magazine.

"Reliving some of the most traumatic experiences of her life has been difficult but rewarding."

The source said that Katie – who has five children – also feels relieved to have discussed some of the major events of her life.

And they said that opening up had allowed the star to start "to heal".

Earlier this year Katie revealed that she was in therapy and that she was committed to keeping on with it long-term.

Opening up on her Mucky Mansion TV programme, Katie said: "I have now decided to see a therapist every week for the rest of my life and put my hand up and say, 'Yeah I need help, help me'.

"So although there's situations going on, I am still alive."

She later said on Instagram that she was "so proud" of herself for the progress that she was making.
