Katie Prices terrified mum fears for daughters life and pleads for compassion

Katie Price’s mum made an emotional plea for compassion for her daughter after the star was involved in a shocking car crash.

Her mother Amy, who is terminally ill with a lung condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, addressed her daughter’s loyal legion of fans as she continues to battle her addictions and work on her mental health.

In the 69-year-old's Instagram statement she says she understands her daughter isn’t the victim but asks for space as a "scared sick" Mum who is "afraid she could lose" her 43-year-old daughter.

The four-page post asked for Katie's children to be considered when discussing the incident and she also complained about the number of stories written about her daughter since the crash.

She further claimed that some stories written about her daughter were 'fabrication' and pleaded for people to be more compassionate.

In the emotional post the “scared stiff” mum hinted her concerns that Katie is in a dark place..

The mum-of-five pleaded guilty to the three charges following a car crash on Wednesday afternoon as her BMW was found on its side near Partridge Green in West Sussex.

The former glamour model was given a deferred sentence which will take place on December 15 after she completes her rehabilitation programme at The Priory to help her cope with her drink and drug addictions.

Katie's mum wrote: "My daughter behaved appallingly when she got behind the wheel of a car intoxicated. She could have killed herself or someone else’s child. I don’t hide from that and neither does Kate.

"But Kate is not well. We asked as a family to have space and privacy. If, as is my fear, we lose Kate then the narrative will change and people/ media may remember all the good she did for causes in her early days and not just be judged on her failures," she added.

She added: "How many more people do we need to lose in this world from mental abuse? It was not long ago I kept reading behind that seems to be a distant memory.

"My daughter is mentally unwell, we have no idea what the future holds but what we do know is Kate’s children will read and see every article written.

"The abuse I am seeing on social media says so much for the society we live in – it has become a sad place. Please allow us time, allow my daughter space not because she deserves this but because I am asking as a very sick and poorly mother who is scared she will lose her daughter."
